Students preparing to take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment can use various resources to familiarize themselves with the assessment. Listed below are some common preparatory resources used by incoming and current TAMUCC students when working towards mastery of the Math, Writing, and Reading portions of the TSI Assessment. The content of this page is to assist students in preparing for the TSI assessment, but please be aware that this is only a short list of resources to assist with the study / preparation process. Be alert when researching additional resources on the Internet. Many sites on the Internet provide free test preparation materials, but there are some test prep sites that are fee-based, and/or free sites that attempt to sell you a product. Use these and other preparatory sites to your best advantage.
The TSI Assessment Web-Based Study App is now free for all students!
Create an account to access this study tool to become familiar with the style and content of questions in TSI Assessment tests. The study app features practice tests in the TSI Mathematics, Writing, and Reading Assessments.
Students can access the site from a computer, tablet or Smartphone (see supported browsers & mobile O/S below) and familiarize themselves with the basic content areas of TSI Assessment tests.

Unable to make it to campus? Try the Khan Academy's on-demand academic support videos. On-demand videos are available for various subjects and levels. All you need a Facebook, Gmail, or other email address to get started.

Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi’s Academic Testing Center provides the TSI Assessment you will need to complete. You can visit with them regarding the test. Click Here for more information about the TSI placement exam.
The university’s Center for Academic Student Achievement (CASA) offers tutoring as well in all three areas covered by the TSI Assessment. It is highly recommended that you first review some practice exams and then meet with a tutor to discuss your strengths and weaknesses on the exam.
